When is a half not a half?

Is this an optical illusion?

You may be fooled into thinking that the glass in the middle is larger than the glasses on either side but I am advised by an eminent member of the club that this is not so. The glass in the middle, according to Mr C'Arrot, is the same measure as the one on the right and just to prove he was right scroll down to picture number 2.

As you can see by pouring the measure into the same "shaped" glass as the middle glass above he is completely -

WRONG!

Does he have a guilty look about him?

Or did the noodles go to his head?
