Carew 6 - Whitchurch 0
In retaining their record of winning every home game this season against a strong and experienced Whitchurch side, which included one ex-Welsh international, Carew became 2007/8 South Wales Division 2 League Winners on Saturday.
Another fine performance from the Midfield which has each week set the standards saw Williams latch on to a through ball only to have his shot at goal "made safe "with Smith getting the final touch to put Carew 1 - 0 up after 10 minutes.
Mason was instrumental in many of the Carew moves and created space on the ball throughout the game for Lewis and Kendrick to join the attack and put Whitchurch under pressure. Carew's defence of Head, Ferguson and Cole were rarely troubled and controlled the few attacks that Whitchurch had with Goalkeeper Thomas having little to do, this enabled right back Moseley to press further up field to join the midfield. With increased pressure just before half time Smith put Carew 2 - 0 up created from a fine team effort that gave him the opportunity.
Turning around into the strong wind Carew played short ball hockey and it was not long into the second half when Carew's 3rd was converted by Mason hammering home a short corner this was shortly followed by a Smith Penalty Stoke to make it 4 - 0.
Whitchurch now threw caution to the wind and gaps began to open which Carew took advantage of but the chances created just could not be put away with some fine last ditch defending by the Whichurch defence and keeper. Smith made it 5 - 0 with from a fine move through the middle and it would have been fitting for Smith to have crowned his comeback season with 50 goals but it was not to be as he put the team first and laid off what would have been his 50th league goal of the season for Lewis to seal the game at 6 - 0.
Just before the final whistle a though ball put the Whitchurch Centre forward one on one with Carew 's Golaie Leigh Thomas who made a fantastic save for Carew to keep a clean sheet.

UW Aberystwyth 2 - Carew 2
With Mason unavailable due to work and Smith arriving at half time Carew were without their strike force and top goalscorers.
Carew started well and took the game to the students but Kendrick and Fieldhouse were unable to penetrate the Aberystwyth defence. The Students found their goal under continuous siege but when Lewis missed an open goal the writing was on the wall, this was just not going to be Carew's day.
The Aber Uni first break into the Carew half some 15 mins into the game saw Head covering back only to be relieved to see Goalkeeper Thomas put the student centre forward under pressure to make him miss the chance. The pendulum was swinging towards the students and half time could not come quick enough.
At half time Pritchard had to be substituted due to an injury, P. Baker came on for Fieldhouse and Smith took up his position up front. Baker made an immediate impact slotting in a cross from Smith after some good work down the right from Mosely and Williams to put Carew 1 up. The Students came back immediately with a well worked goal that found Thomas stranded. With their tales up the Students now pressed forward. Sterling defence from Clements and Ferguson could not stop a lifted ball in the Carew 'D' being volleyed into the goal and despite Carew's protests of it being a dangerous situation the goal was allowed putting the students 2 - 1 up and Carew's Championship spot in doubt.
Carew pressed forward looking for the equaliser and it was with 3 mins to go that a through ball from Wheeler found Smith who lobbed the keeper to make the final score 2 - 2. Next week's home game against Whitchurch will decide if Carew take top spot.
